Prints /Art/ Philadelphia Centre City

Welcome to my home! Well if it isn't Philly Phil.

I have lived here so long that it's starting to feel like home now. I don't even use the GPS when I drive,if I get lost I figure it out(just like I'd do when in Pretoria).

This past weekend I went to a cluster meeting with my fellow Au Pairs and we went to see some mural Art tour. It was really interesting(some of the art was rather too gay).

I met a French Au Pair,Sabrina. French people can really dress,I love her jacket,I couldn't stop staring at it. My friend Nash showed off her sexy perfect legs! I don't understand how ones legs can look so perfect *sigh*.

And well I wore prints and polo's you know "to blend in with the art" lol. Here are a few pictures. I always love taking pictures at The Love Park,it's my favorite spot in Philly Centre City.

Oh we also went on the subway but I think I prefer the Gautrain(although I have been hearing that the standards of the Gautrain have lowered)

Formal Affair

When I was styling this outfit I thought about my mom. Gosh I miss her. So I decided to dedicate this blog post to my Mommy :)

It's been a while since I wore something formal so I was really excited to combine these items. My mom is a very classy lady and I absolutely LOVE how she dresses. My mom is so classy she even once wanted to wear heels when we went to visit my brother at bush school,my dad and I had to convince her to wear running shoes lol.

I have that "when I grow up I want to dress like my mom" mindset.

Watch her cry when she reads this post haha!

Polka Dot cat-eye's: amazon.com - I was spotting unique-for a lack of a better word "cool"- shades on other blogs so one night I decided to search online for different kinds of shades. I ended up on Amazon and purchased 5 kinds of shades. That's how I ended up with so many Amazon shades lol.

Top: Barefoot ( I love that store,I always find the best clothes there yet it's a retail outlet dedicated mostly for shoes)

Polka dot pencil Skirt: Mr Price (Oh how I miss Mr Price haha)

Shoes: Birthday gift from my host mom :D bought online www.gojane.com(you'll thank me later)

Bag: Tommy Hilfiger( another birthday gift from my dear friend Buhle,it's actually an IPad bag :D)

Love Rings+silver bracelet:Forever 21

Ps: you know how everyone has a signature pose? I've noticed that my signature pose is head facing down haha.

Washington DC

My friend Buhle and I went sightseeing in Washington DC. Don't ask me why we planned to go at night but we did :( . Most people said we wouldn't accomplish much if we go sightseeing at night but we DID. It's actually so peaceful touring at night, however I do think I want to go back to Washington DC during the day.

We saw THE WHITE HOUSE: 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC. The White House is the oldest public building in Washington, DC and has been the home of every president except George Washington.

WASHINGTON MONUMENT:Constitution Ave. and 15th St. SW Washington, DC. The memorial to George Washington, our nation's first president, is the most prominent landmark in Washington, DC and stands as the centerpiece of the National Mall. It is the tallest structure in Washington, DC and measures 555 feet 5 1/8 inches high

My favourite stop was LINCOLN MEMORIAL: 23rd St. NW, Washington, DC. The memorial is one of Washington, DC's top attractions and occupies a prominent space on the National Mall. It is a tribute to President Abraham Lincoln, who fought to preserve our nation during the Civil War, from 1861-1865. The Lincoln Memorial has been the site of many famous speeches and events since its dedication in 1922.

My other favourite was THE CAPITOL BUILDING which is absolutely beautifulllll!!
E. Capitol St. and First St. NW, Washington, DC. The U. S. Capitol Building is open to the public for guided tours only. Visitors learn about the work of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and the impressive architecture of the most recognizable historic buildings in Washington, DC

I went on to research all the sites we went on. Many thanks to www.dc.about.com/od/tourist attractions
